Two curious kittens have found the best playground in the garden. In "Pumpkin Patch Chase" a fluffy tabby and a calico creep along a sunlit path, eyes fixed on a small orange butterfly that has landed on a ripe pumpkin. Broad green leaves, curling tendrils and trumpet-shaped orange blossoms climb above them, filling the scene with the warmth of early autumn.

The design is stitched on Zweigart 16-count Aida in a soft cappuccino shade. The fabric color serves as the background, so there is no need to fill it with stitches: you work only the kittens, pumpkins and foliage, and the warm tone of the cloth does the rest. Zweigart Aida is known for its even weave and clearly defined holes, which keep stitches neat and counting comfortable.

The kit contains Zweigart 16-count cappuccino Aida measuring 37.5 x 40 cm (14.8 x 15.7 in), DMC stranded cotton in 36 colors and a needle. The finished design measures 28 x 26.5 cm (11 x 10.4 in), and the fabric leaves generous margins on every side for framing. It looks at home in a kitchen, hallway or reading corner, and makes a heartfelt gift for anyone who loves cats and fall decor. Frame is not included.

With 36 shades and finely blended fur, this is an intermediate project, best for stitchers with some counted cross stitch experience who enjoy a detailed, absorbing piece.
